Biostatistics and Clinical Data Management

This core facility is located on the second floor (20-024) of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center near the Breast Cancer Conference Room. It is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

About Our Faculty and Staff

Dr. Joseph G. Ibrahim is the Facility's Faculty Director. Important faculty contributors include Drs. Michael Bowling, Pei Fen Kuan, Anastasia Ivanova, Bahjat F. Qaqish and Anna Snavely. Allison M. Deal and Michael Chiu are full time Cancer Center Biostatisticians. Dominic T. Moore is a Senior Biostatistician and the Facility Director. 

We have a number of graduate research assistants (GRAs) working with Cancer Center Statisticians. Most of them are assigned to assist with a specific project with their senior faculty advisor. Their efforts are often key components to the successful completion of certain projects. Our current GRAs are : Hojin Yang, Shangbang Rao, and Christopher Bryant.

Clinical Data Management is a significant component of this Facility. Current members of this component are Paul E. Jones, Robert V. Nachtsheim, and Donna Harper.

Welcome Dr. Anna Snavely

Born in Greensboro, Anna earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics with a concentration in statistics from Wake Forest University.  She completed her PhD in Biostatistics at Harvard University in 2012. Her dissertation work was motivated by cancer clinical trials and involved methods for analyzing clustered survival and multiple outcomes data.

While at Harvard, Anna was involved in many collaborative projects at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In particular, she worked with investigators at the Center for Community-Based Research, the Head and Neck Cancer Program, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation Adult Survivorship Program.

We are very pleased to have Anna with us! Please join us in welcoming her to our Cancer Center.
