Make an Appointment

Patients are accepted into the program after referral to a UNC bone marrow and stem cell transplant physician. This physician notifies the program assistant, who contacts the patient and schedules an initial appointment in the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Clinic.

The new patient referral number is 919-966-0931 (Program Assistant). Program physicians can be contacted through the Carolina Consultation Center at 1-800-862-6264.

Referral information should include patient history and physical, pathology reports and slides, X-rays, CT scans, related laboratory results, and treatment summaries. These materials should either be sent to the program coordinator in advance of the patient’s first visit or brought to the first visit by the patient.

Please bring the following to your clinic appointment:

  • physician's name, address and phone number
  • patient identification card if you have been seen before at UNC
  • insurance card and any other related forms required by your insurance company
  • list of allergies and medications you are taking with the dosages
Location and Hours

The Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Clinic is located on the second floor of the N.C. Cancer Hospital.

It is held on Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
