A case for smiles: ConKerr Cancer Volunteers Visit N.C. Cancer Hospital

Several ConKerr Cancer volunteers visited the N.C. Cancer Hospital in September 2010, bringing smiles and pillowcases.
ConKerr Cancer volunteers Margaret Braswell, Diann Nelson and Julie Tucker delivered 100 cheerful pillowcases to CCSP Patient and Family Resource Center “to help children feel special while battling a life changing illness of cancer."

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, ConKerr Cancer volunteers, Mary Ellen Melchiorre and Trish Verne spent Tuesday, September 28th in the Pediatric Oncology Clinic sewing personalized pillowcases for young patients at the N.C. Cancer Hospital.
