UNC Kappa Epsilon and Zeta Tau Alpha Join Forces to Make a Difference
Kappa Epsilon, a pharmaceutical service fraternity at UNC-Chapel Hill and Zeta Tau Alpha, a UNC sorority, joined forces to design and make close to 100 gift baskets for our patients receiving cancer treatment at UNC. The members of Kappa Epsilon came twice/weekly throughout April 2008 to distribute gift baskets, snacks, and encouragement to our families.

Close to 100 care packages were created through the efforts of Kappa Epsilon Service Fraternity and the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at UNC. Each package contained a copy of the cookbook by Holly Clegg, Eating Well Through Cancer, a silicon pot holder, water bottle, neck pillow, and hard candies. All items in the care packages were purchased with the funds these groups raised in support of this effort. |
