Please join the UNC Cancer Network and the NC Community Colleges for an online, interactive oncology lecture. Thomas Shea, MD will provide information about the diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship for leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. The presentation will also share information about specials considerations for caring for patients with these diagnoses. Every lecture has a question and answer (Q & A) section at the end, so feel free to ask the presenters for clarification or more information. Every year, an estimated 250,000+ new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. This lecture will provide an overview of common pediatric oncology diseases, the general outcomes, and recent treatment advances. Medical and Surgical Oncology lectures offer CNE, ASRT, and CME continuing education credit (upon approval) for eligible participants. We invite anyone interested to view our lectures. Lectures are viewable online via Zoom Webinar or by participating in the lecture at one of our designated viewing sites.
