Community Lunch and Learn- Lecture on Cancer- When Treatment Fails: Supporting Your Loved Ones During End-of-Life Care*
Please join the UNC Cancer Network for an online, interactive lecture with Heidi Gennser, MDiv, BCC. Often times, conversations with loved ones living with cancer fail to include direct and clear information. Caregivers need to understand they can and should initiate needed discussion as studies show better outcomes including less depression and distress when communication is open. Learn strategies for fostering this open communication during difficult times. Community Lunch and Learn lectures are geared toward cancer patients, survivors, family, friends, and care givers/supports but anyone interested in learning more about cancer is welcome to join us. Every lecture has a question and answer section at the end so feel free to ask the presenter for clarification or more information. While these lectures are viewable online, we recommend watching them at one of our Community Lunch and Learn sites. Please contact us for more information and for assistance locating a site near you.
Office hours for patient-reported outcomes (PRO) research Q&A and impromptu demonstrations of PRO-Core systems. No RSVP required!
