BailaCura presents a unique dance festival connecting the power of dance and the love of the dance community to cancer patients and the medical community. This special event features three days of dance workshops, evening socials and a special event on Sunday. The proceeds from this interactive event will be donated to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center for cancer research and treatment.

Pedal for Peds is a day of cycling and celebration to bring awareness of childhood cancers and benign blood diseases by raising funds to support research that will improve patient outcomes. Participants can bike up to 50 miles on the beautiful American Tobacco Trail, or take part in hourly spin classes and yoga sessions. The event benefits the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at UNC Hospitals.

Head for the Cure is heading to North Carolina to watch the Tar Heels take on the Blue Devils on Saturday, Sept. 23. Join them for a tailgate before the game for free food and beverages. You may also purchase game tickets for $20 each through their ticket block by Sept. 15.

This is the expenses, anxiety and uncertainty when confronting large and unpredictable costs of cancer treatment. Please join us so we can talk about how financial toxicity affects your quality of life and what you can do about it. Community Lunch and Learn lectures are geared toward cancer patients, survivors, family, friends, and care givers/supports but anyone interested in learning more about cancer is welcome to join us. Every lecture has a question and answer section at the end so feel free to ask the presenter for clarification or more information. Pig Out for the Cure is a charity BBQ fundraising effort by the agents of the Chapel Hill and Pittsboro offices of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston in conjunction with the HPW Foundation. Proceeds from the effort benefit UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Fundraising starts with appealing to local business and individuals to become sponsors and support the cause. It culminates in a celebration of sponsors, fundraisers and the sale of BBQ plates from Gillis's BBQ.
