<p>The program will feature two symposia with talks by 11 “new” faculty recruited to UNC and the UNC Lineberger over the past five years, as well as a State of the Center presentation by Dr. Shelley Earp.  <strong><a title="" href="http://www.unclineberger.org/scientific-retreat/2013-scientific-retreat" class="internal-link" target="_self">Click here for the retreat agenda</a>.</strong></p>
<p><b>Registration and Poster Registration</b></p>
<p>Everyone who is coming to the Retreat should register. (This helps us with the head count for food).  If you want to present a poster, you should register for the event and then complete the additional questions about the poster you are submitting.   We ask that everyone register by 5:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2013.</p>

<p><b><br />Reception and Poster Session</b></p>
<p>The Reception and Poster Session start around 5 pm, immediately following the conclusion of the program. </p>
<p><span>We will award cash prizes ($250 first prize; $150 second prize; $100 third prize) for best posters in each of three categories: Basic, Clinical / Translational, and Population Sciences.  </span></p>
<p><span>Poster entries are limited to the first 50 posters registered.  Please, only one poster per person.  Only registered posters that are first-authored by students or fellows will be eligible for awards.  Due to poster board dimensions, only posters that are 4’ by 6’ (or smaller) can be entered.</span></p>
<p><b>The deadline for poster registration is also 5:00 pm Monday , May 20, 2013.</b></p>
<p><span>Please note, when you register your poster you must enter a text abstract to register your poster.  These abstracts will assist in reviewing.  </span></p>]]></content:encoded>
