Pink Heals, an international volunteer group made up of firefighters and first responders who focus on supporting the fight against women's cancers, will be bringing their fleet of pink fire trucks back to the N.C. Cancer Hospital on Tuesday, August 11. The Chapel Hill Fire Department, now in their fifth year of supporting this cause, will serve as hosts for their visit.

On Monday, June 8, the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina will host a breakfast celebration in honor of National Cancer Survivor's Day. The breakfast will be held at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel in Raleigh. The event will be free for all lung cancer survivors and one additional guest, but pre-registration is requested.

Held at the William and Ida Friday Center in Chapel Hill, this special celebration of life is free and open to all cancer survivors and their caregivers. The event will include interactive workshops on a broad range of topics - from physical activity and nutrition to work issues, fun activities and a keynote address from UNC Women's Basketball Coach and cancer survivor Sylvia Hatchell.
