Moe's Southwest Grill will be holding a soft opening on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to benefit UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. From 5 until 8 p.m., Moe's will sell $5 burritos and give all proceeds to support cancer research at UNC Lineberger.

Join the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina on November 7 at Midtown Park for the 2015 Raleigh LUNGe Forward Run, Walk & Rally! Choose from a 5K or 1 mile for both aduls and children. Can't make the race? You can "Lounge for Lung Cancer" and support from your pajamas on Event Day! They will mail you your t-shirt within 2 weeks of the event. Lung cancer survivors run for free.

UNC Lacrosse is teaming up with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to help kids beat cancer right in our community. They set a fundraising goal of $30,000 and are close to hitting it! Come out and see the team shave their heads in support of pediatric patients at the N.C. Cancer Hospital.

This course will offer best practices when conducting trials using FDA approved and non-approved devices. It will cover the IDE application process and the obligations of the sponsor-investigator once the IDE application is filed with the FDA. Speakers include Erika Segear Johnson, PhD RAC (Duke) and Amy Franklin, BS (UNC).
