Cocktails for Cancer Held on October 16

The third annual Cocktails for Cancer fundraiser was held on October 16, 2009 at the Franklin Hotel and featured music, food, cocktails, prizes, drawings, and more. Former UNC basketball player Eric Montross served as the auctioneer for the evening. Dr. Paola Gehrig, associate professor in the division of gynecologic oncology, was the guest speaker.

This event is held each year by a group in the community dedicated to raising awareness and fundraising for women’s cancer treatment and research. Net proceeds from the event are donated to UNC Lineberger.
