As an outpatient oncology dietitian in the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program, Mandy works with patients undergoing and/or recovering from surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy and provides individual based interventions to help ensure they can meet their nutrition goals.

Like any good dietitian, Mandy loves food (eating it, cooking it, and reading about it).  She and her husband can often be found at the crepe truck in Carrboro.  She also loves to visit new places - near or far - and frequently travels to Honduras to participate in medical missions.  One of her goals is to learn Spanish so she may directly communicate with the people she meets.

"Our physicians and staff truly value the importance of nutrition during the cancer journey," says Mandy.  "It’s great to be part of a multidisciplinary team and to know that I am making a difference."
