Betty Hinshaw, RN, BSN, OCN, CHTC
As an Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Coordinator, Betty provides patients and families with education regarding the transplant process and coordinates their various appointments and tests to prepare for their transplant admission.
She also works closely with the other members of the adult transplant and adult multidisciplinary teams with a goal of providing the best possible care for patients and families.
"I love my job and sometimes can’t believe I’ve been here for 16 years," says Betty. "I continue to want to make a difference in patients' lives and am so thankful to work for a program where I can come to work each day and make that happen."
Betty loves to read (especially cookbooks), and she enjoys cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family. She has two adult children who she says will forever be her babies and she also has two grandsons who fill her days with laughter and joy.
