Dale Flowers, RN, OCN
For patients who choose a clinical trial for their treatment, she serves as their nurse navigator for the duration of the clinical trial. This involves scheduling and meeting with the patients and guiding them through the treatment process.
"I am motivated to work with cancer patients because no one raises their hand and says they volunteer to have cancer. Cancer can happen to anyone at anytime," says Dale. "It is a honor to be involved with patients at such a critical time in their lives. It's also a privilege to work with the fantastic physicians I have the opportunity to interface with, who have dedicated their lives to move cancer treatment and cure forward."
Dale has four grown children of whom she is very proud. Her youngest currently attends college at UNC-Chapel Hill. And, with the upcoming move of her son and daughter-in-law from Baltimore to Durham, she is excited that all of her children will soon be living in North Carolina again.
For fun, Dale enjoys ballroom dancing. She and her partner attend competitions about four times a year. Her favorite dances are the foxtrot and samba.
