Meet Michelle Gardiner, PharmD
Michelle works in the Chemotherapy Hospital Infusion Pharmacy (CHIP) as a Clinical Central Pharmacist. Her primary role is to review chemotherapy orders and dispense chemotherapy for both outpatients and inpatients.
A UNC pharmacist for the past five years, Michelle became a part of the CHIP team about a year and a half ago. "The ability to become more of a specialist with a focus on oncology led me to this position," she explains. "I enjoy working here because UNC makes patient care and patient safety the highest priority."
A runner since her high school days, Michelle likes to fit in a run whenever possible. "Morning is my favorite time for a run," she says. "That's when the day feels the most calm and full of potential."
