Area of Interest
Dr. Gabriel's area of research is fluid dynamics and coagulation. Clinically, Dr. Gabriel has focused on the use of autologous PBSC transplants for multiple myeloma and has opened an outpatient transplant study combining mitoxantrone and melphalan. He has also recently developed a series of laboratory studies that are designed to investigate the ability of markers of endothelial cell damage to predict for the occurrence of veno-occlusive disease and other endothelial based tissue injuries such as alveolar hemorrhage.
