Six new residents have begun their training with the UNC Department of Radiation Oncology.

Gregg Goldin earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida; his medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine; and completed his internship in general surgery at Shands Hospital affiliated with the University of Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Daniel Higginson, co-chief resident, earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah; and his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, where he completed a Howard Hughes Medical Fellowship. He completed an internship at Georgetown University Medical Center.

Seth Miller earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in Baltimore, Maryland; his medical degree with a research distinction from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine; and completed his internship as a transitional year internship at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading Pennsylvania.

Lewis Rosenberg, co-chief resident, earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan; his medical and doctoral degrees from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio; and completed his internship in internal medicine at MetroHealth System, also in Cleveland, Ohio.

Nathan Sheets earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees in nuclear engineering and radiological sciences from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan; his medical degree also from the University of Michigan; and completed a transitional year internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.

Noam VanderWalde earned his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland; and completed his internship in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center.
