UNC Lineberger Members Comment on Active Surveillance in Prostate Cancer Treatment
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The article "Physicians Urged to Consider Active Surveillance in Prostate Cancer" published in the January 12, 2010 issue of the NCI Cancer Bulletin includes statements from UNC Lineberger members James L. Mohler, MD, and Paul Godley, MD, in response to the recent announcement by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN ) encouraging active surveillance in the treatment of prostate cancer.
James L. Mohler, MD, is chair of Urologic Oncology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (and was a faculty member at UNC prior to joining the faculty at Roswell Park). Paul Godley, MD, is a professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UNC-Chapel Hill.
