John Collier, RN is a man with lots of experience under his belt. He's been in patient care of some sort for nearly 40 years, and a nurse for nearly 30 of those years.

As a clinical nurse IV in the outpatient clinics of N.C. Cancer Hospital, Collier plays many roles from nurse manager to caring for patients.

He's used to playing different roles though as he's been into drama and theater about as long as he's been in nursing.

Acting gives Collier, an otherwise calm and reserved character, a chance to be somebody else and do things on stage he'd never dream of doing in real life.

He also enjoys directing plays and gets to do both acting and directing alongside his wife whenever possible.

He and his wife actually met doing theater together and got married at the Paramount Theater in Burlington, N.C. (where this episode was filmed).

Check out this month's video to see him acting in a play based on Elvis for some great laughs and a side of health care you probably didn't expect!

And, if you enjoyed the video above, then you'll definitely want to see the outtake below as well.
