26th Annual Lineberger Club Brunch and Basketball Game

250 of UNC Lineberger’s most generous and loyal supporters attended the 26th Annual Lineberger Club Brunch and Basketball Game on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center.

Lanier Swann, a UNC Lineberger kidney cancer patient, shared the story of her treatment at UNC during the 2013 UNC Lineberger Club annual donor appreciation event.

The group enjoyed hearing from Cancer Center Director Shelley Earp and the inspiring personal story of Lanier Swann, UNC Lineberger patient and kidney cancer survivor and one of her doctors, Eric Wallen.

Guests bid on a number of silent auction items, including ACC Tournament basketball tickets, a VIP NASCAR experience (donated by Quicken Loans), and a week in a lovely Figure Eight Island home (donated by Haywood Cochrane). 

Following lunch, guests cheered the Tar Heel men’s basketball team to victory over Florida State.
