Cancer Survivorship Clinics

In 2007, there are 10.5 million cancer survivors in the US – this number of survivors marks our considerable progress. It’s a reason to celebrate. But it’s also a reason for health professionals to address the short- and long-term needs of survivors so they can live their lives to the fullest. UNC Lineberger is doing just that.

We are committed to providing cancer survivors and their families the highest quality and most compassionate care possible. Our goal is not just to extend life. We hope to extend the quality of life as well.

A pilot testicular survivors cancer clinic is currently available. It meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. Plans include creation of survivor cancer clinics for all patients.

If you have an interest and/or need before your clinic opens, call Liz Sherwood, Coordinator of Cancer Survivorship Programs, at 919-843-5069.
