2009 UNC Lineberger
Annual Scientific Retreat Held on May 20

The UNC Lineberger's annual scientific retreat featured two mini-symposia: “Core Mission: New and Developing Shared Resources for Cancer Research” and “What Next? Three Strategic Directions.” The program ended with an update from director Dr. Shelley Earp. Participants included UNC faculty, fellows and staff, as well as UNC Lineberger members from across the state, including Dr. Ted Meigs from UNC-Asheville and Drs. Ricardo Richardson and Luke Chen from North Carolina Central University.

You can view copies of all the presentations and see a listing of the pre-registered posters by clicking here.

The poster competition was open to students and fellows with 40 pre-registered submissions in three categories: basic science, clinical/translational science, and population sciences. Judges made three awards within each category: a first place award of $250, a 2nd place award of $150, and a 3rd place award of $100. The winners were announced at the end of the reception / poster session.
