Visiting musician fills N.C. Cancer Hospital with song
Performer and cancer survivor Charlie Lustman visited the N.C. Cancer Hospital on February 29, 2012.
He sang and spoke with patients and families, nurses, physicians and staff, even performing an impromptu song for chefs in the Overlook Café.
Lustman was in Washington, DC to perform for National Rare Diseases Day and took time to visit UNC. Oncology nurse Rey Garcia had heard Charlie perform at an Oncology Nursing Society national meeting, gave him his card, and suggested that if Charlie were ever in the area, to visit UNC.
