One in a "McMillion" - Walk-a-Thon Held to Honor Donna McMillion and Raise Funds for Cancer Research
The First Annual Walk-a-Thon to celebrate the life and memory of Donna K. McMillion was held on Saturday, November 27 in Wilson, NC. The McMillion family held the walk as a way to show their appreciation for the cancer care Donna received at UNC.
The walk began at Contending for the Faith Ministries and ended at the St. Rose Church of Christ; both of these organizations also served as sponsors for the event, along with the McMillion family.
The event raised over $1600 – double the group’s initial goal - to support gynecological oncology research at UNC Lineberger.
