UNC Leads Southeast Melanoma Symposium:
Science to Survivorship
Informative, educational sessions offered for patients, survivors and caregivers
Did you know that melanoma affects almost 69,000 Americans each year, resulting
in 8,650 deaths?
Melanoma is the most common form of cancer for young adults 25- to 29-years-old
and the second most common cancer in adolescents and young adults 15- to 29-years-old. Although
melanoma is most common in Caucasians, melanoma can strike men and women of all
ages, all races and all skin types.
UNC Lineberger will offer a FREE symposium for patients, survivors and caregivers
on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. at The Friday Center. View
