Did you know that melanoma affects almost 69,000 Americans each year, resulting in 8,650 deaths?

Melanoma is the most common form of cancer for young adults 25- to 29-years-old and the second most common cancer in adolescents and young adults 15- to 29-years-old.  Although melanoma is most common in Caucasians, melanoma can strike men and women of all ages, all races and all skin types.

UNC Lineberger will offer a FREE symposium for patients, survivors and caregivers on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. at The Friday Center. View flier.
