The information presented at this educational activity should improve your ability to diagnose and treat
melanoma and aggressive non-melanoma skin cancers, focusing on the following issues:
- scientific evidence for sunscreens
- the clinical dilemmas facing both dermatologists and dermatopathologists in correctly diagnosing _
- difficult melanocytic lesions including pigmented lesions of the nails
- the surgical issues facing the dermatologist and surgeon treating melanoma and merkel cell cancers
- the tanning bed controversy as viewed by a North Carolina lawmaker
- the current role of systemic therapy in the melanoma patient with metastatic disease, including updated information on CTLA-4 inhibitors, BRAF-inhibitors and MEK inhibitors
