The clinical practice guideline addresses the use of abiraterone or docetaxel with androgen-deprivation therapy for metastatic prostate cancer that has not been treated, or has been minimally treated with testosterone-lowering agents.

The guidelines were published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and are available online.

Milowsky is the clinical medical director of the N.C. Cancer Hospital, professor in the UNC School of Medicine Division of Hematology/Oncology, and co-director of the UNC Urologic Oncology program.
